A Colorado-based company wanted to launch a new division that would offer online vendor review services to different local communities. Their goal was to do a beta-launch in the Denver area and then roll out a multi-city launch across several key locations in the United States. Midway through the project they found that, although they had made good progress with the creation of the database, they were unhappy with the direction of the user interface and had valid concerns about the look-and-feel and usability issues. That is when they contacted Chili Interactive. Chili came in and overhauled the Information Architecture to make it extremely user-friendly and to take maximum advantage of the existing backend database. By making the architecture flexible and recommending new data relationships, Chili ensured that the they would get the most out of the data and have a scaleable model to grow with future launches. With a new IA and database enhancements in place, Chili designed a demographic-specific user interface that would take the above elements and meld them together for a seemless user experience. Once the architecture was built out, they began adding key interactive code to make it more robust and scaleable for the diverse target markets. The project is currently enjoying a successful beta launch with plans being made for the multi-city rollout.
